Corbin: Cause its marrying time
Mommy: Do you marry someone cause you love them?
Corbin:Yeah

Memorial Day

We had a great memorial day! We went swimming, had a BBQ and played games.

It had been a while since hayden had been in the pool but he loved it, so did corbin. dave tried to get out a few times but corbin wouldnt allow it.Hayden spent his time in the hot tub, he decided the pool was too cold.

Mess maker mess maker make me a mess!

I started keep books in the car. Because hayden tends to throw fits when i try to get him into his carseat, but he calms(sometimes)when i hand him a book.

I had to take Corbin to the doctor for a pressure test in his right ear(thats another story)and on the way hayden would take a book then throw it, take a book and throw it. So,

Mommy: no more books hayden your being very mischevious!

Corbin: Its what he does baby!

Confessions of a wuss.

So i go outside to throw out a dirty diaper. And all the sudden i feel something VERY sharp...

I look and find and a small and sharp rock stuck rather deep into my foot! I pulled it out and it looked like some of it had stuck into my foot (like a splinter). i clean my foot and it was just dirt. but it does start to bleed rather profusely.

Im a wuss and have no pain tolerance. I stuck a bandaid on the "owie" but it hurt to put any weight on it. So i put on 2 socks, still not enough padding, 2 more still not enough padding..........6 socks and a badnaid later and im walking tall again(as tall as i can walk im only 5'3 after all).

The Healing Power Of Rain

A few months ago Corbin had a bad sinus infection. He was miserable and just couldnt get enough sleep. One day we got some rain,and per our routine, corbin was in my bed with a movie while hayden was napping. I had left the room and came back to find him fast asleep.
Before this, i would complain sometimes about the rain. But ive come to find it a blessing. And have come to know of its "healing powers" not just for nature but for us.

A ruined day.

The boys and I were walking around target this morning. we were in the music,book and movie section. Hayden was in the cart and Corbin was walking next to me.

Corbin: mommy turn this way now.
(mommy went a different way)

Corbin: mommy i told you to turn this way i didnt want to go that way.

Mommy: yes but mommy wanted to go this way.

Corbin: You just ruined my WHOLE day!!!

Mommy has a big nose!

Turns out corbin thinks i have a big nose:

Corbin: mommy your eyes and lips are the same size
Mommy: is that good or bad?
Corbin: its bad you have a big nose.

Gotta love how honest(and dare i say blunt) children can be.

A very pleasant suprise visit!

Got to see wyatt ashley and clover. they came to my door out of nowhere!

so fun for the boys to see the cousins. corbin has claimed wyatt several times as his "best buddy" and hayden adores baby clover!

A snuggle time conversation

Corbin and i were snuggling,as is our nightly bedtime routine. And i had a little chat with him:

Mommy: So corbin, tell me something about wyatt(his cousin)
Corbin: He likes to play with me
Mommy: Is wyatt your best friend?
Corbin: Yeah (pause) yeah

sick babies

My poor babies are sick. Of course this happens on a weekend where david is working clear across town and will be working late tonite and also working tomorrow. Im not complaining about dave being gone. Bless his heart for working so hard to provide for us.
ITs just emotionally exhausting on me cause of them both being sick. I was able to get corbin on meds and hayden has an apt today. Thank goodness for family in town. bob(daves dad) is watching corbin for me so i can take hayden to the doctor!!!
