Preschool Christmas Party

Corbin had his annual christmas party at school. As usual he and hayden had a great time. They played games and decorated ornaments to put on the tree at home. They also made "snowmen" out of marshmellows.

Family pictures

My dad and celeste came over to take a family pic for their annual letter. so i talked them into taking some for us!

we're still here...

...just that nothing "newsworthy" has happened in a while.

Dave: almost has the inside of his "mancave" or "garage" done. so he's pretty psyched. he put in an ac/heat which will come in handy. he's building someone a kitchen(cabinets and all) so hes trying to get it done asap. when hes not working on that he's plenty busy with work and being the weblos leader. or tickling his little "honkuses".

Natasha: will be 35 weeks on tuesday, yep thats right. 5 weeks to go. she's also recently been called to be young womens secretary at church and is VERY excited to get to know the young women in the ward better. she's staying busy with her calling, getting ready for alex's arrival and keeping up with the other 2 munchkins.

Corbin: is in his 2nd year of preschool. poor thing is still adjusting to his new "sleep' routine. hes not a morning person( i dont know WHERE he gets it from haha). he loves his class and loves having a lot of buddies from church in his class. he's still very much into transformers and being a good big brother to hayden. he cant wait for alex to come and is always rubbing and kissing my belly and talking to his brother.

Hayden: always on the go~much like his daddy. he can only sit still for so long and then hes up and running to his next "activity" which sometimes involves getting into what hes not supposed to. he kind of understands about baby alex and often asks if he can "lay on alex"(lay on my stomach). he knows the baby can hear him and last night he "read" alex a story. it was so sweet i almost cried. he loves his big brother and loves to play with him as much as he can. he is definitly "construction" oriented and will often pick up daddys tools and try to "fix".

Well thats us for now..stay tuned.....

Primary Program

Corbin had his first primary program today~as a sunbeam. He broke down when we got to church and kept telling me he was tired and didnt want to be there(he was fine all morning and the ride over). He finally told me he didnt want to "go to the microphone". Poor kid had stage fright. Once i assured him he didnt have to do his speaking part and that he could just stand with his class and do the songs, plus mommy would sit up front where he could see her at all times, he was fine.
He looked a little teary the first few songs, but after a while he was fine.
Grandpa and Nanna Curfiss and Grandpa and Grandma Dobson were able to be there( we missed all of you who werent in town ).
We are so proud of our sunbeam. He did great :)

Take me out to the ball-game

The boys(and papa Bob) were able to go the astros game on friday night.
They had a blast. They had great seats~so great that had president bush been there they would have been sitting by him!
It was especially fun for Hayden because this was his first time to be able to go (in the past it was just his brother that went).

I see construction work in their future.

baby update

So since coming home ive been having irregular uterine contractions. Then today i had a LOT more pressure then is normal(well a lot more then im used to). So they squezzed me into docs schedule(Wasnt due to go in till friday) she checked me, everything is as it should be. Im also cleared from bedrest and go in next tuesday for my 31 week checkup.
I know everything is fine because of the priesthood blessing i got at the hospital on friday. Im so thankful for worthy priesthood holders in my family, and for the comfort those blessings bring.

Overnight in the hospital- not my idea of a good time

I debated whether or not to post about this, but its the most "blogworthy" thing thats happened in the last few weeks. So here goes.

Friday morning i started having some severe abdominal pain but i figured it was just normal pregnancy pains. After a while though they got really bad and i was worried they were contractions. Im just 30 weeks today so i was concerned about going into labor. I called my obgyn and they didnt have any more apointments(by this time it was 3 in the afternoon) so they told me to head to the hospital.
Turns out i was having contractions. Thankfully i had only dialated 1/2 a centimeter and was only 25% effaced. So they gave me a round of shots and a 2 pills to stop contractions. I was able to get a priesthood blessing. I was there overnight and was able to go home saturday morning. Im on bedrest untill "cleared" by my obgyn. I have an apointment with a obgyn in my obgyns practice tomorrow morning(my doc wasnt available till thursday). So fingers crossed. I did have a few contractions yesterday but none so far today. Its true what they say every pregnancy is different!

New haircut in time for first day of school.

Back to school.

Hugs goodbye
Not too sure about this new enviornment

Headed in for our first day

Fueling up for school.
Im not sure why it loads the pictures backwards. Today was corbins 1st day of school. He was excited untill we got to the classroom. Then he got a little case of the jitters. He did warm up after a minute though and im sure when i go to pick him up he will have had a great time!

Garage/addition update.

Warning: I have an attitude.

While tucking hayden in bed the other night i reached over to roll him towards me. He put his little hands on either side of my face and with a VERY serious look said "HEY! whats your problem?!"
I about had an accident it was sooooo funny.

We're still here...im a creature of habit and since im awaiting the arrival of my new laptop(and the process of putting everything from the old one on the new one)it will be a while before i blog with pics again. So heres a quick(pic less) update!

Dave: is at a standstill with the garage remodel. We are awaiting "approval." From our home owners association(which if you ask me these people have way too much time on their hands and are way to POWERFUL, im sorry but who are they to tell me what i can and cant have on my property?). So he's working on other stuff(trust me he has PLENTY to keep him busy). We just really want to get the garage done(they stopped him in the middle of roofing the deck and now when it rains the tarps leak and our "new" garage gets flooded plus its hurricane season and we all know what happened last year).

Natasha: now 20 weeks along. glad to have a name for our newest addition(will not share just yet still deciding on a middle name). is in a "major" nesting phase( i spent the whole day cleaning my closet(Because i got sidetracked by smaller projects).

Corbin: still busy as ever. still into transformers and playing with his brother. he starts pre-school (his 2nd yr) in august and is ready to go back~he often tells me he misses his class and is excited to have some of his church buddies in his class this year :) he loves going to big boy sunbeams at church. and is excited that mommy is having another brother.

Hayden: is talking up a storm. im amazed at how much he knows and how complete and articulate his sentences are. he loves to play with his bubba and always comes running when daddy comes home. he doesnt quite get the whole concept of mommy being pregnant but is excited he will have another brother to play with.

We hope everyone is happy and healthy!
