Christmas Tree Decorating

So i decided coribin was old enough to help decorate the tree this year. I think he did a great job! We went as a family to pick out the tree. The next night we did the lights and star then corbin and i decorated the tree a few nights later. He had so much fun and it was really cute to watch him. Ever ornament has sentimental value to me which just made decorating it with my little boy so much more special!!

So my little baby is growing up so fast! On Nov 29th Hayden turned 2. We had a small family gathering and one of his friends was able to come. We had a spiderman theme and he loved every minute of it!

We had our ward halloween party tonight. Corbin dressed up as optimus prime (the good guy leader from transformers), and Hayden was spiderman. We had a blast! Corbin said his favorite part was trick or treating.

I found this scarf at ross and HAD to get it. I couldnt get it in the pic but it has silver "sparkles" at the bottom. I think mom still has the scarves?If so next time we are together we have to put the scarves on a take a pic! Love you guys soooo much!

I LOVE this picture(although it would be nice if corbins eyes had been open gotta love kids lol). Its rare to get my boys to smile in pics although lately both of them(by them i mean corbin and hayden) have grown into quite the "hams."

So around here,and other places im sure,if you dont grab a halloween costume when you see it then you are out of luck! So after Ike came through the boys and I set out on a mission and as luck would have it we found what they were looking for!And of f course they had to try them on together at home. A perfect pre-halloween photo~op for mom!

I was making dinner the other night and as usual Corbin and Hayden were under my feet. So i pulled out a few pans,mixing bowls and spoons and let them get creative. I even found a box and drew "stove tops" on it. It was pretty cute.

Cancelation

So~im not having surgery after all! After finally "listning to my body" i've realized the surgery would be a waste of time and money. The first 2 weeks the pain was really bad.But the 3rd week it got "tolerable" and after i scheduled the surgery i kept thinking ok this isnt so bad maybe i dont need surgery. So i called my ob/gyn to cancel my apt. I just hope they get the voicemail by tomorrow so im not hit with a "cancellation" fee.

Corbins first day of school

Im sad that i don't have pictures to post. I had taken some and somehow between trying to download them to dave's computer, and printing them at home, they somehow vanished from my memory stick. I did get some printed, i have to figure out how to get them back on the computer. So sad. :(

Still,lack of pictures and all, I wanted all of you to know how well corbins first day of pre~school went!
It went well, which,i think, is every parents dream. And im glad to say i only cried a little and thats at the house after i got him all dressed and ready for his first day of "big boy school".
I dropped him off and he got right to playing. I watched him for a minute and left. Hayden was very upset that we were leaving without "bubba". For probably the first 30 minutes he kept asking me where his bubba was. Needless to say Hayden was VERY excited when it was time to pick up Bubba from school.
Corbin was so excited. He told me all about his day. He already has 2 new friends. Sophia and a little boy who's name he couldnt remember but said he had on a yellow shirt. He said his favorite part was playing playdough with sophia and going outside.

Play date with halle

Corbin and Halle were having a playdate at our house, and though they have had several I hadn't thought to take pictures(mostly because they play at nannas and my camera isnt on me at the time). So this time i got the camera out! The results speak for themselves i think!

They absoultly love playing together. Its nice to have family close(and we miss our family who isnt :( ).

I have a what? where? not again!

So today was my 3rd appointment this week with my ob/gyn. I had made an apt b/c i had been feeling really crummy the begining of this week. By wed i realized i had these symptoms before. So, i went in to my obgyn. She saw something and wanted to do a follow up ultra sound the next day. The next day the ultra sound tech told me what i had thought. I had a cyst on my left ovary. I also had free fluid around it. SO my ob/gyn told me this morning that i had probably had 2 cysts and one had burst~ thus the free fluid.
Not very fun to say the least. These 2 were a lot more painful then my last~ thats right this isnt my first ro~day~o cowboy!
Im on pain medicine, but she said if the pain is still there by next week and the pain meds arent doing there job, she wants to do outpatient surgery.
So there you have it! Needless to say my housework etc has suffered this week but i think i have a pretty vaild excuse?

After cleaning out boxes in storage I came upon dolls that are very special to me, not just because ive had them since i was little but beecause my grandma made them for me by hand. I cried when i saw these because i love them so much and i miss being so far from my grandma. She and I have always been close. The beautiful blanket is made by my grandma's sister. I remember going to aunt ruthmarys house as a girl and seeing her doll collection. Aunt ruthmary is very loving and kind and i love her!

I decided to "show off" my dolls and blanket by leaving them on my bed. My 2o month old loves them and points to them often "baba!"

I love you grandma! Thanks for the dolls i still love them after all these years!

Bye bye sippies!

So i've decided i've had enough with sippie cups. I've also come to realize the reason my 20 month old has trouble drinking from "regular" cups is because ive been lazy and ive been "babying"him! No more! I threw out all the sippy cups and boy did it feel good!

Now, just to get hayden drinking like a pro from the big boy cups.

Update

Things are going well with the "removing".
Although ive only excercised once this week, i have stopped eating candy(still sugar in my diet soda). My next goal is to stop drinking sodas. I also need to stop eating fast food, although i have cut WAY down on how much of that i eat(i think 1 time this week?)/

Like they say in "what about bob", "babysteps."
Slowly but surely, im "removing" myself and ya know what?
IT FEELS GREAT~~~im already feeling a difference.

PS~never ever ever quit sugar cold turkey, ive never had a headache like that in my life!

Removing ourselves from Un~Godliness

Our high council speaker gave a really good talk in sacrament yesterday about "removing ourselves from Un~Godliness" and giving up things that we know are bad for us.

That really hit home for me, it's something ive been wanting to change about myself for sometime. To me part of the word of wisdom is keeping our bodys clean inside and out, and that means eating things that are good for us, and will keep our bodys strong and mind sharp. As most of you know i dont have the best eating habits in the world, and im not as physically strong as i'd like to be.
I keep telling myself, this week i will start the change, then that week goes by, ok so this week i will start, then that week goes by. You get the picture.
After hearing the talk yesterday i KNEW that was the "push" looking for.
Im happy to report it went well this morning, and im on my way to "removing" myself.

It's Not Sunday

The other day i got a little more "dolled" up then usual. After touching up my hair and make-up, I tured to corbin and asked him how i looked. He gave me a very puzzled look and said "but momma your not going to church."
I almost bust a gut.Childrens honesty, gotta love it!

Grumpy!

I hate to blog without pictures, but this was more of a "you had to hear it" then you "had to see it".

I was cooking dinner tonight and overheard Corbin having a conversation with Hayden (who mind you, is only 20 months old).

Corbin:Hayden do you want a pillow or a blankie?

Hayden: ah-huh

Corbin: Hayden can you say thank you

Hayden: uh-huh

Corbin: oh! it sounds like he's grumpy!

Mispronunciations.

Kids have the cutest mispronunciations! Here are a few that corbin say that get me laughing so hard i think im going to have an accident!

"Hefalumps and woozles danary bafoozles."
~Translation~ hefalumps and woozles are very confuzles

"Heshstisirs"
~Translation~registers(cash)

Also, when hayden doesnt like something he puts his little hand over his eye and says "ah da". For example he doesn't like his daddy's "shop vac". He'll run and point to it then run away to me put his hand over his eye "ah dah". I 'll ask him if he doesnt like it, if its too loud? "ah dah"

I got the "reorganize and redecorate" bug. I haven't gotten too far, but i started slow. My dresser is done,so i posted a pic of it. It feels so good to clean out and get rid of things. We have so much "stuff" that just sits. So im on a mission~clean and organized house here i come!

A nickname for corbin!

I've been working with Hayden on saying Corbin or Brother. Today out of nowhere while they were having their bath, hayden pointed at corbins bath and said "bubba!"

So, i pointed at corbin and asked hayden who it was and he smiled and said it again "bubba!"
I guess Bubba is corbins nickname now! It was so cute hearing hayden say it.

utah

So being the spoiled person that i am, i got to visit my family(most of it) in utah sans husband and kids. Let me rephase, most of my immediate family(sorry i couldnt get to my extended family, next time for sure!).
I got in wed afternoon and was able to go out on a pontoon boat. Thu was my moms "big day"(birthday). We went for a good long walk, and had a chinesse lunch. Friday my sister and her family came up. I was also able to see my dear friend cami and her family.
Saturday we had big "grandma and autumn" birthday party. Lots of family came.
It was short but sweet. Im glad i was able to see most of my family. Thanks for a wonderful time my family! And thanks to my dad and celeste and my inlaws and most of all my sweet hard working husband for letting me go~i love ya'll!

I was at kohls today with the boys, and while we were in the fitting room corbin said that cutest thing!

4th of July

This 4th was pretty low key. The boys and I went to a parade in the morning. And we had a bbq in the early evening at Curfiss'. It rained earlier so we forgoed the fireworks this year. Rachel and her little girl halle as well as michelle and jarrett were there as well.
